Thomas : Euh, oui… tu as raison.
Thomas : Un an ?! Euh…
Camille : D’accord ! Et… euh… Thomas ? On n’a jamais vraiment parlé d’enfants…
Thomas : Parfait ! Dans… disons… trois ou quatre ans ?
Camille : Oui, ça me va. Mais au fait… il y a un truc qui me tracasse un peu.
Thomas : Ah ? Dis-moi.
Comment on gère ça si on s’installe ensemble ?
Thomas : Zut… tu as remarqué ?
Camille : Mouais… j’espère que tu as raison.
*rires*
Thomas : *rires* Ton père me fait marrer ! Bon, et niveau professionnel ? Tu comptes rester dans ta boîte ?
Camille : Euh… justement, j’ai quelque chose à t’avouer…
Thomas : Camille ! Tu aurais pu m’en parler avant ! Moi, ma vie elle est ici !
Camille : Je sais, je sais… Pardon.
Camille : D’accord. Désolée de t’avoir fait peur ! Alors, on récapitule ?
*sourire malicieux*
Thomas : *rires* Toi alors ! Bon, ça me va.

This important conversation will lead them to share their dreams, their fears and their shared aspirations.
DIALOGUE
Camille : Well, Thomas… we said we’d take the time to have a serious talk about us, didn’t we?
Thomas : Uh, yes… you’re right. It’s already been eight months since we’ve been together. Time flies, huh!
Camille : Exactly! And I have to admit… well, I’d really like to know where the two of us are headed. How do you see yourself in a few years?
Thomas : Ah, the big question! *laughs* Listen, with you I feel really good. I see us… uh… why not move in together first?
Camille : Great! I was thinking the same! But you know, I also have other plans in mind… For example, I’d really like us to travel together before we move in.
Thomas : Oh really? What kind of trip were you thinking of?
Camille : Well… I’ve always dreamed of traveling around Southeast Asia. Six months, maybe a year… What do you think?
Thomas : A year?! Uh… Camille, it’s just that… my job, you know… I can’t really afford to be away for that long.
Camille : Ah… *disappointed* I understand. But maybe we could negotiate something? Three months?
Thomas : Well, that’s more realistic! And besides, we could save up together for this trip, right?
Camille : Great idea! Shall we open a joint account then?
Thomas : Totally! And after the trip we’ll look for a bigger apartment – mine’s really too small for the two of us.
Camille : Okay! And… uh… Thomas? We’ve never really talked about having children…
Thomas : *silence* Ah… kids. Well… to be honest, I’ve been thinking about it more and more. And you?
Camille : Me too! But not right away, okay! First the trip, the apartment, and then we’ll see.
Thomas : Perfect! In… let’s say… three or four years?
Camille : Yes, that works for me. But actually… there’s something that’s been worrying me a little.
Thomas : Ah? Tell me.
Camille : Well, your mother… She doesn’t seem to like me very much. How would we handle that if we moved in together?
Thomas : Darn… you noticed? Listen, she has trouble with all my girlfriends at first. Give her some time.
Camille : Yeah… I hope you’re right. Family is important to me.
Thomas : I understand you. And I’ll talk to her, I promise! By the way, my parents would like us to come to dinner next Sunday.
Camille : Oh? Well… okay, I’ll try to make an effort.
Thomas : Great! And your parents, what do they think of our relationship?
Camille : Oh, they love you! Dad can’t stop saying that you’re “a good catch”! *laughs*
Thomas : *laughs* Your dad cracks me up! So, career-wise? Do you plan to stay at your company?
Camille : Uh… actually, I have something to tell you… I applied for a position in Lyon.
Thomas : What?! To Lyon? But… what about us then?
Camille : Wait, wait! It’s just an application. And besides, it would only be for two years. You could come with me, couldn’t you?
Thomas : Camille! You could have told me earlier! My life is here!
Camille : I know, I know… Sorry. But it’s a golden opportunity! Project manager at a startup!
Thomas : *sigh* Well… we’ll talk about it again if you’re selected, okay? For now, let’s focus on our plans in Paris.
Camille : Okay. Sorry for scaring you! So, shall we recap? Trip in a year, moving in together, joint account…
Thomas : And children in three or four years, improving relations with our respective families…
Camille : And we’ll see about Lyon! *mischievous smile*
Thomas : *laughs* You! Okay, that works for me. Shall we team up?
Camille : Of course! Together, we can do anything!
Thomas : I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us… with all these plans!
Camille : Me too! Come on, shall we seal it with a glass of wine?
Thomas : Excellent idea! To our future together!
