C’est un samedi après-midi ensoleillé au mois de mai. Claire et Thomas, deux amis étudiants, se retrouvent par hasard devant un café près de l’université. Ils n’ont rien de prévu et la belle météo leur donne envie de profiter de cette journée inattendue ensemble.

Claire : Tiens, Thomas ! Qu’est-ce que tu fais là ?
Thomas : Salut Claire ! Ben, je sortais juste de la bibliothèque. Et toi ?
Claire : Pareil, j’en ai marre de réviser. Dis donc, il fait un temps magnifique aujourd’hui, tu ne trouves pas ?
Thomas : Chouette ! Carrément ! On se croirait déjà en été. Tu as quelque chose de prévu cet après-midi ?
Claire : Euh… pas vraiment. J’avais pensé continuer mes révisions, mais avec ce soleil… Pourquoi ?
Thomas : Et si on faisait un pique-nique ? Ça fait longtemps qu’on n’a pas fait ça ensemble !
Claire : Ah, bonne idée ! Mais… euh… on n’a rien préparé. Les magasins, tout ça…
Thomas : Ben, on peut passer au supermarché rapidement. Le Monoprix là-bas est ouvert jusqu’à 20h le samedi.
Claire : D’accord ! Et où est-ce qu’on pourrait aller ? Au parc des Buttes-Chaumont ?
Thomas : Parfait ! Il y a plein de coins sympas là-bas. On peut s’installer près du lac.
Claire : Super ! Alors, qu’est-ce qu’on achète ? Du pain, du fromage…
Thomas : Attends, laisse-moi réfléchir… Des sandwichs peut-être ? C’est plus pratique.
Claire : Bof, c’est un peu banal, non ? Moi j’aimerais bien faire les choses correctement. Du jambon de Bayonne, du camembert…
Thomas : Tu as raison ! Et des fruits aussi. Des fraises, ça te dit ?
Claire : Mmm, excellente idée ! Et à boire ? De l’eau, du jus de fruits ?
Thomas : Une bouteille de rosé, peut-être ? On n’est pas en voiture…
Claire : Thomas ! Il est à peine 15h ! On peut peut-être attendre un peu, hein ?
Thomas : Ah oui, tu as raison. Bon, du jus de fruits alors. Et de l’eau gazeuse.
Claire : Parfait ! Oh, et il faut qu’on pense à prendre une nappe. Tu en as une ?
Thomas : Euh… bonne question. Je ne suis pas sûr. On peut acheter une nappe jetable au supermarché.
Claire : Ou alors… j’ai une grande serviette de plage chez moi. Mon appart n’est pas loin.
Thomas : Génial ! Et moi je peux prendre mon frisbee si tu veux. Il est dans ma chambre.
Claire : Oh oui ! Ça fait des années que je n’ai pas joué au frisbee ! Bon, on fait comment alors ?
Thomas : On se sépare une demi-heure ? Toi tu passes chez toi, moi chez moi, et on se retrouve devant le supermarché ?
Claire : D’accord ! Ah, mais attends… Zut ! Je viens de me rappeler que j’ai promis à ma mère de l’appeler cet après-midi.
Thomas : Ah bon ? C’est important ?
Claire : Ben, pas vraiment urgent, mais tu sais comment elle est… Si je ne l’appelle pas, elle va s’inquiéter.
Thomas : Tu peux l’appeler du parc, non ? Avec ton portable ?
Claire : Euh… c’est que… elle aime bien qu’on prenne le temps de discuter. Ça risque de durer une heure !
Thomas : Ah je vois… Écoute, appelle-la maintenant, rapidement. Dis-lui que tu la rappelles ce soir.
Claire : Bonne idée ! Je lui explique qu’on fait un pique-nique improvisé. Elle comprendra.
Thomas : Parfait ! Alors rendez-vous dans… disons trois quarts d’heure devant le Monoprix ?
Claire : Entendu ! Tu crois qu’il fera encore beau ? Ces nuages là-bas me font un peu peur…
Thomas : Ne t’inquiète pas ! La météo annonçait du soleil jusqu’en soirée. Et puis, un peu de fraîcheur ne nous ferait pas de mal.
