Dans un café près de l’université, Clara, étudiante en littérature française, rencontre Thomas, un étudiant en informatique qu’elle a connu lors d’une soirée étudiante. Ils découvrent qu’ils pourraient s’entraider : Clara a besoin d’améliorer ses compétences numériques pour son mémoire, tandis que Thomas souhaite perfectionner son français écrit pour ses candidatures à l’étranger.

Clara : Tiens, Thomas ! Ça alors, quelle coïncidence ! Tu viens souvent ici ?
Thomas : Clara ! Euh, salut ! Oui, j’adore ce petit café, c’est calme pour travailler. Et toi, qu’est-ce qui t’amène ?
Clara : Ben, j’essaie de fuir la biblio, l’atmosphère y est trop pesante aujourd’hui. Au fait, tu bosses sur quoi ?
Thomas : Mon projet de fin d’études… du développement web. Et toi ? Toujours dans tes bouquins de littérature ?
Clara : Hélas oui ! Justement, j’ai un problème énorme avec mon mémoire. Je dois créer une base de données pour analyser des textes du 19ème siècle, mais je n’y comprends rien à l’informatique !
Thomas : Ah bon ? Une base de données littéraire, ça sonne intéressant ! Quel genre d’analyse tu veux faire ?
Clara : Je veux classer les œuvres par thèmes, dates, influences… enfin, tu vois. Mais entre nous, je suis complètement larguée avec Excel, alors une vraie base de données…
Thomas : Haha, je vois le problème ! C’est pas si compliqué que ça, tu sais. Je pourrais t’aider si tu veux.
Clara : Sérieusement ? Ce serait génial ! Mais euh… je ne peux pas te payer, mes finances d’étudiante sont au plus bas.
Thomas : T’inquiète pas pour ça ! Mais justement… j’aurais peut-être un service à te demander en échange.
Clara : Ah, je me doutais qu’il y avait une petite contrepartie ! Vas-y, je t’écoute.
Thomas : Ben, j’aimerais postuler pour un stage à Montréal l’année prochaine, mais mes lettres de motivation sont… comment dire… catastrophiques !
Clara : Hein ? Toi qui parles super bien ! Je ne te crois pas.
Thomas : À l’oral ça va, mais à l’écrit… zut ! J’ai toujours eu des difficultés. Mes phrases sont trop techniques, pas assez… littéraires, quoi.
Clara : Chouette alors ! On peut s’entraider ! Moi je t’aide avec tes lettres, et toi tu me sauves la vie avec cette fichue base de données !
Thomas : Parfait ! Mais attends… tu es sûre que ça va pas te prendre trop de temps ? J’ai plusieurs candidatures à préparer.
Clara : Écoute, si tu arrives à me faire comprendre comment organiser mes 200 références bibliographiques, je suis prête à relire tous tes CV !
Thomas : Marché conclu ! On commence quand ?
Clara : Dès que possible ! Mon directeur de mémoire veut voir mes premiers résultats la semaine prochaine. C’est chaud !
Thomas : Ouh là ! C’est serré effectivement. Et moi, mes candidatures doivent partir avant la fin du mois…
Clara : Bon, on va s’organiser. Tu es libre cet après-midi ?
Thomas : Euh, en fait… j’ai cours jusqu’à 18h. Et ce soir, j’ai promis à mon coloc de l’aider pour son déménagement.
Clara : Ah zut ! Et demain ?
Thomas : Demain matin ça marche ! Vers 10h ? On pourrait se retrouver à la médiathèque universitaire ?
Clara : Excellente idée ! Il y a des ordinateurs et c’est silencieux. Par contre, j’espère que tu es patient, parce que niveau informatique, je pars de zéro !
Thomas : Haha, t’exagères ! Et moi, j’espère que tu ne vas pas t’arracher les cheveux en lisant mes brouillons…
Clara : On verra bien ! Au pire, on commandera du café très fort !
