Sophie et Marc sont mariés et ont deux enfants : Emma, 8 ans, et Lucas, 5 ans. Ce matin, Emma se réveille avec de la fièvre et ne peut pas aller à l’école. Les deux parents travaillent et doivent décider qui va rester à la maison pour s’occuper de leur fille malade.

Sophie : Marc, réveille-toi ! Emma a 38,5 de fièvre… Elle ne pourra pas aller à l’école aujourd’hui.
Marc : Oh non, pas aujourd’hui ! Euh… tu peux rester avec elle ? Moi j’ai cette présentation super importante à 14h.
Sophie : Ben justement, moi aussi j’ai un truc crucial ! La réunion avec les investisseurs japonais, tu te rappelles ? Ça fait des semaines qu’on la prépare.
Marc : Ah zut, c’est vrai… Mais ma présentation, c’est pour décrocher le contrat Miller. Si je loupe ça, on peut dire adieu à la promotion.
Sophie : Et moi alors ? Tu crois que ma carrière compte pour du beurre ? Ces investisseurs repartent au Japon demain soir !
Marc : Non, bien sûr que non… Excuse-moi. Euh, et si on appelait ta mère ?
Sophie : Maman ? Elle a son cours d’aquagym le jeudi, et puis elle garde déjà Lucas quand il est malade. On peut pas toujours compter sur elle.
Marc : Tiens, et Mrs. Dubois, notre voisine ? Elle est à la retraite, non ?
Sophie : Marc, on ne va quand même pas refiler notre fille malade à la voisine ! Et si c’est contagieux ?
Marc : Ouais, t’as raison… Bon, écoutons voir. Ta réunion, elle peut vraiment pas être reportée ?
Sophie : Les Japonais sont là que pour trois jours. Impossible de décaler. Et la tienne ?
Marc : Le client Miller repart en Allemagne vendredi… Oh là là, on est dans de beaux draps !
Sophie : Attends, attends… Ta présentation, c’est à 14h tu dis ? Et moi c’est à 9h30.
Marc : Euh oui, pourquoi ?
Sophie : Ben on pourrait peut-être s’arranger ! Moi je reste ce matin avec Emma, et toi tu prends le relais à midi ?
Marc : Ah oui ! Ça pourrait marcher… Mais ton boulot, tu pourras partir comme ça ?
Sophie : J’expliquerai la situation à mon chef. Avec un peu de chance, la réunion sera terminée vers 11h30.
Marc : Parfait ! Et moi je décalerai mon rendez-vous de 13h à demain. Comme ça je serai là à midi pile.
Sophie : Super ! Ah, mais j’y pense… Et si Emma va encore plus mal dans la journée ?
Marc : Ben, celui qui est avec elle l’emmène chez le pédiatre. Le Dr Martin reçoit sans rendez-vous le jeudi après-midi.
Sophie : Oui, bonne idée. Au fait, il faut qu’on pense à prévenir l’école pour l’absence.
Marc : Je m’en occupe en partant. Et pour Lucas, on fait comment ? Il va bien lui au moins ?
Sophie : Oui, il pète la forme ! Je le dépose à la crèche en allant au bureau. Toi tu n’auras qu’Emma.
Marc : Parfait. Dis donc, on forme une sacrée équipe quand même !
Sophie : Hein ? Ah oui ! Bon, je vais voir comment va notre petite malade…
Marc : J’espère que c’est juste un petit virus et que demain ça ira mieux.
