Marie et Thomas, deux amis étudiants, se retrouvent après les cours pour organiser leur soirée du vendredi avec leur groupe d’amis. Ils doivent choisir entre aller au cinéma voir le dernier film à la mode ou faire une partie de bowling. Chacun a ses préférences et ils tentent de convaincre les autres membres du groupe par téléphone.

Marie : Alors Thomas, qu’est-ce qu’on fait ce soir ? J’ai vraiment envie de me détendre après cette semaine de fou !
Thomas : Euh, ben moi j’avais pensé au bowling. Ça fait longtemps qu’on n’y est pas allés, et puis c’est marrant quand on est en groupe.
Marie : Le bowling ? Ah non, pas encore ! La dernière fois, j’ai eu mal au dos pendant trois jours. Et puis, tu sais bien que je suis nulle…
Thomas : Allez, ne dis pas ça ! C’est justement ça qui est rigolo. Et puis, on peut prendre un verre là-bas, c’est sympa.
Marie : Moi je préférerais plutôt le ciné. Il y a ce nouveau film avec Marion Cotillard qui vient de sortir. Ça a l’air génial !
Thomas : Hein ? Un film français ? Oh là là, encore un truc déprimant… Tu sais bien que j’aime mieux les films d’action.
Marie : N’importe quoi ! C’est une comédie romantique. Bon, on appelle les autres pour voir ce qu’ils en pensent ?
Thomas : Ouais, bonne idée. Tu appelles Léa et moi je contacte Antoine et Sarah ?
Marie : *[compose le numéro]* Allô Léa ? C’est Marie. Dis-moi, tu es libre ce soir ? … Ah chouette ! Alors, tu préfères quoi : ciné ou bowling ?
Thomas : *[au téléphone aussi]* Salut Antoine ! Ça va ? On organise quelque chose pour ce soir…
Marie : *[raccroche]* Alors, Léa vote pour le ciné ! Elle dit qu’elle en a marre du bowling.
Thomas : Zut ! Antoine préfère le bowling… Et Sarah aussi apparemment. Elles se sont déjà mises d’accord.
Marie : Ah bon ? Mais comment ça se fait ?
Thomas : Ben, elles ont discuté ensemble tout à l’heure. Sarah a dit qu’elle avait des tickets de réduction pour le bowling.
Marie : Tiens, ça elle ne me l’avait pas dit ! Bon, et si on faisait un compromis ? On commence par une séance de ciné en début de soirée et après on va boire un verre ?
Thomas : Euh… le problème, c’est que le dernier film commence à 20h30. Si on sort à 22h30, tout sera fermé.
Marie : C’est vrai… Et le bowling, jusqu’à quelle heure c’est ouvert ?
Thomas : Jusqu’à minuit je crois. Bon, écoute, on fait comme ça : on vote démocratiquement. Tu appelles encore Léa pour lui parler des réductions ?
Marie : *[recompose]* Léa ? C’est encore moi… Dis donc, Sarah a des réductions pour le bowling, tu savais ? … Ah d’accord… Bon ben finalement tu changes d’avis ?
Thomas : Alors ?
Marie : Elle hésite maintenant. Elle dit que ça dépend combien ça coûte finalement.
Thomas : J’ai une idée ! Et si on allait au cinéma du centre commercial ? Comme ça, on peut faire du bowling juste à côté après !
Marie : Oh là là, mais ça va nous coûter une fortune tout ça !
Thomas : Pas forcément. Le ciné du centre commercial fait des tarifs étudiants jusqu’à 19h. Et avec les réductions de Sarah pour le bowling…
Marie : Hmm, c’est pas bête… Mais on aura le temps de manger entre les deux ?
Thomas : Ben, on peut prendre des trucs à grignoter au ciné et après on commande des pizzas au bowling !
Marie : Ça me va ! Bon, on rappelle tout le monde pour confirmer ?
Thomas : Attends, il faut d’abord vérifier les horaires. Tu peux regarder sur ton smartphone ?
Marie : Euh, zut ! Ma batterie est à plat… Tu peux regarder toi ?
Thomas : Ouais, pas de souci… Alors… Le film de 17h30 finit à 19h15. Parfait ! On a le temps de grignoter un truc et d’aller au bowling pour 20h.
Marie : Génial ! Bon, moi je rappelle Léa et tu confirmes avec les autres ?
Thomas : C’est parti ! Finalement, on va faire les deux activités. Tout le monde sera content !
Marie : J’espère juste qu’on ne sera pas trop fatigués pour le bowling après le film…
Thomas : Allez, ça va être une super soirée ! Et puis, comme ça on teste notre nouveau compromis diplomatique !
Marie : *[en riant]* Oui, et la prochaine fois on saura qu’il ne faut pas choisir !
