Marie et Thomas, deux amis étudiants, se retrouvent dans un café pour consulter le programme du festival culturel de leur ville. Ils doivent choisir les événements auxquels ils veulent assister ce week-end, mais le choix s’avère plus compliqué que prévu.

Marie : Alors, tu as récupéré le programme du festival ? J’ai hâte de voir ce qu’ils proposent cette année !
Thomas : Oui, regarde ! *Il étale une brochure sur la table* Wow, il y a un choix dingue ! Je ne sais même pas par où commencer.
Marie : Ah ben dis donc ! Concert de jazz, théâtre de rue, expo photo… Euh, attends, on avait dit qu’on avait combien de temps exactement ?
Thomas : Juste le week-end, hein. Samedi et dimanche. Donc il faut qu’on soit stratégiques.
Marie : D’accord. Bon, moi tu sais bien que je suis passionnée de musique. Ce concert de Camille Bertault samedi soir, ça me tente énormément !
Thomas : Camille Bertault ? Connais pas… C’est quel style ?
Marie : Jazz vocal moderne, c’est génial ! Elle improvise sur des standards mais aussi sur des trucs plus contemporains. Tu vas adorer, je t’assure !
Thomas : Mouais… Écoute, moi j’étais plutôt attiré par cette pièce de théâtre, “Les Chaises” d’Ionesco. Ça commence à 20h30 samedi.
Marie : Hein ? Mais ça tombe pile en même temps que le concert ! Zut alors !
Thomas : Ah bon ? *Il vérifie* Euh… effectivement. Ben mince, qu’est-ce qu’on fait ?
Marie : On pourrait peut-être se séparer ? Toi tu vas au théâtre, moi au concert, et on se retrouve après ?

Marie : *Feuilletant la brochure* Alors… il y a un atelier de danse contemporaine le matin, une conférence sur la photographie urbaine l’après-midi…
Thomas : Tiens ! La photo urbaine, ça c’est dans mes cordes ! J’adore ça depuis que j’ai commencé mon projet Instagram.
Marie : Chouette ! Et moi la danse contemporaine, ça me branche bien. C’est à quelle heure ?
Thomas : L’atelier danse c’est de 10h à 12h, et la conférence photo c’est de 14h à 16h. Parfait, ça se complète bien !
Marie : Super ! Donc récapitulons : samedi on fait chacun son truc le soir, et dimanche on fait les deux activités ensemble ?
Thomas : Exactement ! Mais attends… *Il fronce les sourcils* Il y a un petit problème…
Marie : Lequel ?
Thomas : Ben, pour l’atelier de danse, il faut s’inscrire à l’avance et apporter des vêtements de sport. Tu as vu ça ?
Marie : Euh non… *Elle relit* Ah si ! “Inscription obligatoire avant vendredi 18h”. Quelle heure il est là ?
Thomas : 16h45… On a encore le temps ! Mais il faut qu’on se dépêche.
Marie : OK, on s’inscrit tout de suite alors ! Au fait, tu crois qu’il y aura encore des places pour le concert et la pièce ?
Thomas : Bonne question… Regarde, sur le site il y a écrit que les réservations se font en ligne ou à l’accueil du festival.
Marie : Génial ! On peut tout régler maintenant. Mais dis-moi, ça va nous coûter combien tout ça ?
Thomas : *Il calcule* Alors… le concert 25 euros, la pièce 18 euros, l’atelier danse 12 euros, la conférence photo 8 euros… Ça fait 63 euros pour nous deux.
Marie : Ça va, c’est raisonnable ! Surtout qu’ils proposent un tarif étudiant, non ?
Thomas : Si si ! Avec la réduction, ça nous fait… euh… 45 euros au total. Encore mieux !
Marie : Parfait ! Bon, on fonce s’inscrire pour l’atelier danse et on réserve nos places pour samedi ?
Thomas : Allez-y ! Au pire, si on n’aime pas, au moins on aura découvert de nouvelles choses.
Marie : C’est exactement ça ! J’ai vraiment hâte d’être à ce week-end. Ça va être fantastique !
