Quatre amis – Marie, Pierre, Sophie et Thomas – viennent de terminer un excellent repas dans un restaurant branché du centre-ville. L’ambiance était parfaite, mais maintenant arrive le moment délicat : l’addition. Chacun a commandé des plats différents et la question du partage des coûts devient un peu compliquée.

Serveur : Voilà votre addition, mesdames-dames. Merci beaucoup !
Marie : Merci ! Bon, alors… voyons voir. Euh, ça fait 156 euros en tout.
Pierre : Ah ouais, quand même ! Bon, on fait à la française ? On divise par quatre ?
Sophie : Attends, attends ! Moi j’ai juste pris une salade et un café. Vous, vous avez pris des steaks et du vin…
Thomas : Ah ben tiens, c’est vrai ça ! Moi aussi j’ai pas bu de vin. J’avais ma voiture, tu te rappelles ?
Marie : Oui, mais bon, c’est plus simple de partager, non ? On fait toujours comme ça d’habitude…
Sophie : D’accord, mais là, il y a quand même une grosse différence ! Regardez, ma salade coûtait 12 euros, vos steaks 28 euros chacun !
Pierre : Euh… Sophie a pas tort. Et puis, on a pris une bouteille de vin à 35 euros que seuls Marie et moi on a bue.
Thomas : Exactement ! Bon, on fait les comptes alors ? Chacun paye ce qu’il a consommé ?

Thomas : Mais l’addition fait 156 ! Il manque 3 euros !

Sophie : Allez, les 3 euros de service, on les partage équitablement. Chacun met 75 centimes de plus.
Marie : D’accord ! Donc moi 50,25 euros. Bon, j’ai que des billets de 20…
Thomas : Moi aussi ! Quelqu’un a de la monnaie ?
Sophie : Hein ? Vous avez pas de monnaie ? Mais enfin !
