C’est samedi matin dans un petit appartement parisien. Sophie et Thomas, un couple dans la trentaine, se retrouvent dans leur cuisine pour prendre le petit-déjeuner ensemble. Ils profitent de ce moment calme pour faire le bilan de leur semaine chargée autour d’un café fumant et de croissants tout frais.

Sophie: Ah, enfin le week-end ! Passe-moi le sucre, s’il te plaît. J’ai vraiment besoin de ce café ce matin.
Thomas: Tiens, voilà. Tu as l’air épuisée, ma chérie. Ta semaine a été si difficile que ça ?
Sophie: Euh… difficile, c’est le mot ! Lundi, j’ai eu cette réunion interminable avec les clients japonais, tu te souviens ? Ça a duré jusqu’à 20 heures.
Thomas: Ah oui, c’est vrai ! Et mardi, tu avais ton entretien d’évaluation, non ?
Sophie: Exactement ! Ben, ça s’est plutôt bien passé, heureusement. Mon chef semble satisfait de mon travail sur le projet marketing. Et toi, comment ça s’est passé avec ton nouveau collègue ?
Thomas: Oh là là, n’en parlons pas ! Julien, le nouveau développeur… Il est sympa, hein, mais il pose des questions toutes les cinq minutes. J’ai l’impression d’être devenu son tuteur personnel !
Sophie: Chouette, encore un qui va te faire perdre du temps ! Au fait, tu as réussi à terminer cette application pour jeudi ?
Thomas: Juste à temps ! J’ai bossé jusqu’à minuit mercredi. D’ailleurs, tu dormais déjà quand je suis monté me coucher. J’ai essayé de faire le moins de bruit possible.
Sophie: Ah bon ? Je ne me suis rendu compte de rien ! J’étais complètement crevée. Mercredi, j’ai eu ma présentation devant le comité de direction…
Thomas: Comment ça s’est passé ? Tu étais super stressée mardi soir !
Sophie: Ben, au début j’étais morte de trouille, mais finalement ça s’est super bien déroulé ! Ils ont adoré mes propositions pour la campagne d’automne.
Thomas: Fantastique ! On va fêter ça ! Tiens, à propos, ta mère a appelé hier soir vers 21 heures. Tu étais sous la douche.
Sophie: Maman ? Qu’est-ce qu’elle voulait ? J’espère qu’il n’y a pas de problème…
Thomas: Non, non, rien de grave ! Elle voulait juste savoir si on venait toujours déjeuner dimanche. Et elle a mentionné quelque chose à propos de ton frère…
Sophie: Mon frère ? Qu’est-ce qu’il a encore fait, celui-là ?
Thomas: Euh… il semblerait qu’il ait rompu avec Sandrine. Ta mère paraissait assez embêtée au téléphone.
Sophie: Zut ! Encore une rupture ! C’est la troisième cette année. Bon, on ira dimanche, ça lui remontera peut-être le moral. Au fait, tu te rappelles qu’on a promis d’emmener Luna chez le vétérinaire ?
Thomas: Oh merde… pardon, oh zut ! J’avais complètement oublié ! C’était prévu pour quand déjà ?
Sophie: Cet après-midi à 15 heures ! Son rappel de vaccins, tu te souviens ? Le vétérinaire nous avait bien dit que c’était important.
Thomas: Ah oui, c’est vrai ! Bon, on peut y aller ensemble après avoir fait les courses. D’ailleurs, qu’est-ce qu’on mange ce soir ?
Sophie: Hm… on pourrait se faire livrer des sushis ? Ça fait longtemps qu’on ne s’est pas fait plaisir ! Et puis, honnêtement, je n’ai pas du tout envie de cuisiner après cette semaine de fou.
Thomas: Excellente idée ! Et si on regardait ce film dont Marie nous a parlé ? Comment ça s’appelle déjà… “Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain” ?
Sophie: Ah non, Thomas ! Ce film, on l’a vu au moins dix fois ! Tu confonds avec “Intouchables”, celui qu’elle nous a recommandé la semaine dernière.
Thomas: Oups ! Tu as raison, euh… ma mémoire me joue des tours en ce moment. Cette semaine m’a vraiment vidé la tête !
Sophie: Ben, on va se détendre ce week-end alors ! Pas d’ordinateur, pas de téléphone professionnel. Juste nous deux et notre petite routine du samedi.
Thomas: Mmm, ça me va parfaitement ! Tiens, au fait, j’ai une surprise pour toi…
Sophie: Une surprise ? Qu’est-ce que tu manigances encore ?
Thomas: J’ai réservé une table au petit restaurant italien que tu adores, celui près du Panthéon. Pour demain soir, après le déjeuner chez tes parents.
Sophie: Oh Thomas ! Tu es adorable ! Mais… euh… tu es sûr qu’on ne va pas être trop fatigués après l’après-midi en famille ?
Thomas: Bah, on verra ! Et puis, ça nous donnera une excuse pour partir plus tôt de chez tes parents, hein ?
Sophie: Malin ! Bon, allez, finis ton café. On a une journée bien remplie qui nous attend !
Thomas: Dernière gorgée… et c’est parti ! Vivement ce soir avec nos sushis et notre film !

Sophie: Uh… “difficult” is the word! On Monday I had that never-ending meeting with the Japanese clients, remember? It went on until 8 p.m.
Thomas: Oh yes, that’s right! And on Tuesday you had your performance review, didn’t you?
Sophie: Exactly! Well, it went pretty well, fortunately. My boss seems pleased with my work on the marketing project. And you, how did it go with your new colleague?
