DIALOGUE
Sophie: Marc, tu as une minute ?
Marc: Ah, Sophie ! Entre, entre. Tu as l’air complètement stressée.
Marc: Hm… tu as peut-être raison.
Zut alors ! Tu ne me l’avais pas dit !
Sophie: Oui, hier après-midi. Et c’était… comment dire… impressionnant. Beaucoup plus créatif que nos propositions.
Marc: Bon sang !
Marc: Écoute, on va restructurer notre approche. D’abord, on va voir Julien ensemble cet après-midi.
Sophie: Merci Marc… Ça me fait du bien d’en parler. Je me sentais vraiment seule face à tous ces problèmes.
Marc: De rien !
Sophie: Bon, tu as raison.
Bon, on y va voir Julien maintenant ? J’ai hâte de voir sa réaction !
Marc: Parfait ! Et Sophie… la prochaine fois, n’hésite pas à venir me voir plus tôt quand tu as des doutes, d’accord ?
Sophie: Promis ! Allez, en route pour sauver ce projet !

Sophie and Marc are colleagues at a marketing agency. They have been working together on an advertising campaign for a major client for three months. The deadline is approaching, but they are encountering major difficulties. Sophie, visibly frustrated, goes to Marc’s office to share her concerns.
DIALOGUE
Sophie: Marc, do you have a minute? I… I’m literally losing it over the Durand project!
Marc: Ah, Sophie! Come in, come in. You look completely stressed out. What’s going on now?
Sophie: Well, that’s exactly the problem – nothing’s happening! We’ve been going around in circles for weeks. I feel like we haven’t advanced a single millimeter.
Marc: Uh… you might be exaggerating a bit, no? We did at least finalize the main concept last week.
Sophie: The concept, yes, but look where we are! The client has rejected three proposals in a row. I’m really starting to doubt our abilities.
Marc: Come on, don’t be so pessimistic. It’s normal for clients to be demanding about this kind of campaign.
Sophie: Demanding? Marc, they change their minds every five minutes! Yesterday they wanted something “modern and dynamic”, today it’s “too aggressive”. I don’t understand anything anymore!
Marc: You’re right, it’s frustrating… Me too – I admit I’m having a hard time figuring them out.
Sophie: And that’s not all! Sarah from the creative department told me this morning that she won’t be able to finish the visuals before Thursday. The deadline is Friday!
Marc: Really? But she told me she’d have everything ready by Wednesday at the latest!
Sophie: Well, apparently she had a setback with the other project. See? Everything’s falling apart! I really feel like this project is cursed.
Marc: Okay, calm down a bit. Let’s take a breath and calmly analyze the situation. Maybe we can find a solution.
Sophie: A solution? Marc, we’ve already tried everything we could! I’m sick of fighting windmills.
Marc: Listen, I get your frustration, but… uh… do you remember the Martinez project last year? It was the same nightmare!
Sophie: Yes, but that was different! We had more time, and above all, the client was consistent in their requests.
Marc: Hm… you might be right. Tell me, have you talked to Julien, our project manager, about your concerns?
Sophie: No, not yet. I’m afraid he’ll think we’re not up to the task. You know how demanding he is.
Marc: Sophie, honestly, you’re putting unnecessary pressure on yourself! Julien knows this client very well. He could give us some valuable advice.
Sophie: Do you really think so? I’m so afraid we’ll lose this contract… It’s our biggest client of the year!
Marc: Exactly! That’s why we need to stack the odds in our favor. And besides, we’re not beginners!
Sophie: Well, yes, sometimes I feel like a beginner! Especially when I see the work of the competing agency they showed us.
Marc: Ah, they showed you the competing agency’s work? Darn! You didn’t tell me!
Sophie: Yes, yesterday afternoon. And it was… how shall I put it… impressive. Much more creative than our proposals.
Marc: Good heavens! That’s important information! You should have told me sooner.
Sophie: I know, I know… I was so discouraged that I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to give it all up.
Marc: Hey, we’re not going to give up now! Show me what they did. We can surely draw inspiration from it without copying.
Sophie: Okay… but I’m really afraid we won’t make it. Time is running out and I feel like we’re starting from scratch.
Marc: Listen, we’re going to restructure our approach. First, we’ll see Julien together this afternoon. Then we’ll call Sarah to negotiate the deadline.
Sophie: Do you really think we can still save this project?
Marc: Absolutely! And you know what? This pressure, this frustration you’re feeling, it’s normal. It shows that you care about succeeding.
Sophie: Thank you, Marc… It feels good to talk about it. I really felt so alone facing all these problems.
Marc: You’re welcome! That’s what colleagues are for, right? Come on, we’ll land this contract!
Sophie: Okay, you’re right. We’ll fight to the end! But if it doesn’t work out…
Marc: It will work! And even if it doesn’t, it won’t be the end of the world. We learn from every experience.
Sophie: That’s true… So, shall we go see Julien now? I can’t wait to see his reaction!
Marc: Perfect! And Sophie… next time, don’t hesitate to come and see me sooner when you have doubts, okay?
Sophie: I promise! Come on, let’s go save this project!
