Marc, un touriste parisien, vient d’arriver à Lyon pour la première fois. Il cherche le Musée des Beaux-Arts mais s’est perdu dans le centre-ville. Il s’adresse à Sylvie, une habitante du quartier qui promène son chien, pour lui demander son chemin en utilisant des points de repère.
DIALOGUE
Marc : Excusez-moi, madame, je suis un peu perdu… Est-ce que vous pourriez m’aider ?
Sylvie : Bien sûr ! Qu’est-ce que vous cherchez ?
Marc : Le Musée des Beaux-Arts. J’ai regardé sur mon téléphone mais euh… je n’arrive pas à m’orienter dans cette ville.
Sylvie : Ah, le Musée des Beaux-Arts ! Ben, vous n’êtes pas si loin que ça. Vous voyez la grande église là-bas, avec les deux tours ?
Marc : Euh… laquelle ? Il y en a plusieurs !
Sylvie : Tiens, c’est vrai ! *rit* Bon, regardez bien : vous voyez le parc avec les arbres, juste là ?
Marc : Oui, celui avec les bancs verts ?
Sylvie : Exactement ! Alors, le musée se trouve juste derrière ce parc. Mais attention, il faut faire le tour, hein !
Marc : D’accord… et comment je fais le tour exactement ?
Sylvie : Alors, vous longez le parc sur votre droite jusqu’à arriver à une petite place avec une statue au centre.
Marc : Une statue de qui ?
Sylvie : Euh… ben, je sais plus exactement ! *rit* Un type avec un cheval, je crois. Enfin bref, vous verrez bien !
Marc : OK, et après la statue ?
Sylvie : Après, vous tournez à gauche et vous passez devant une boulangerie – elle a une devanture rouge, impossible de la rater.
Marc : Une devanture rouge, d’accord…
Sylvie : Et juste après la boulangerie, vous verrez une petite rue qui monte un peu. Au bout de cette rue, il y a une fontaine.
Marc : Ah, une fontaine ! Ça, c’est un bon repère.
Sylvie : Voilà ! Et le musée, il est juste en face de la fontaine. Vous ne pouvez pas le louper, c’est un grand bâtiment avec des colonnes.
Marc : Parfait ! Donc : parc, statue au cheval, boulangerie rouge, petite rue qui monte, fontaine, et en face le musée.
Sylvie : C’est ça ! Ah, mais attendez… *réfléchit* Zut, j’ai oublié de vous dire ! La boulangerie, elle est fermée aujourd’hui pour travaux.
Marc : Ah bon ? Et comment je la reconnaîtrai alors ?
Sylvie : Ben, vous verrez quand même la devanture, même si c’est fermé. Et puis il y aura sûrement des échafaudages devant.
Marc : D’accord, des échafaudages… Et vous êtes sûre que c’est le bon chemin ?
Sylvie : Absolument ! J’habite dans le quartier depuis quinze ans. Ah, et au fait, il y a aussi un autre chemin…
Marc : Ah ? Lequel ?
Sylvie : Si vous préférez, vous pouvez passer par la cathédrale. C’est plus direct mais euh… c’est moins joli.
Marc : La cathédrale ? Où elle se trouve ?
Sylvie : Regardez, vous voyez les grandes tours là-haut sur la colline ?
Marc : Oui, je les vois !
Sylvie : Ben, c’est pas ça ! *rit* Ça, c’est la basilique. La cathédrale, elle est dans l’autre direction.
Marc : Bon, je crois que je vais prendre le premier chemin alors… avec le parc et la fontaine.
Sylvie : Bonne idée ! C’est plus sûr. Et puis vous verrez, le quartier est vraiment charmant.
Marc : Parfait ! Combien de temps ça me prendra à peu près ?
Sylvie : Oh, dix minutes maximum à pied tranquille. Le temps d’admirer un peu les alentours !
Marc : Chouette ! Merci beaucoup pour vos explications, vous êtes très aimable.
Sylvie : Je vous en prie ! Bonne visite du musée !
Marc : Merci encore ! Allez, Rex, on y va ! *s’adresse au chien*
Sylvie : *rit* Il s’appelle Moka, pas Rex ! Bon voyage !

Marc, a Parisian tourist, has just arrived in Lyon for the first time. He is looking for the Museum of Fine Arts but has got lost in the city centre. He approaches Sylvie, a local resident of the neighbourhood who is walking her dog, to ask her for directions using landmarks.

Marc : Excuse me, ma’am, I’m a bit lost… Could you help me?
Sylvie : Of course! What are you looking for?
Marc : The Museum of Fine Arts. I checked on my phone but, uh… I can’t get my bearings in this city.
Sylvie : Ah, the Museum of Fine Arts! Well, you’re not that far. Do you see the big church over there, with the two towers?
Marc : Uh… which one? There are several!
Sylvie : Oh, that’s right! *laughs* Well, look closely: do you see the park with the trees, right there?
Marc : Yes, the one with the green benches?
Sylvie : Exactly! So, the museum is just behind that park. But watch out – you have to go around, okay!
