Sophie, nouvelle élève en terminale, arrive dans son nouveau lycée pour sa première journée. Elle rencontre Thomas, délégué de classe, qui propose de lui faire visiter l’établissement avant le début des cours. Malheureusement, certains bâtiments sont fermés pour travaux, ce qui complique un peu la visite.

Sophie : Excusez-moi, euh… vous pourriez m’aider ? Je suis complètement perdue ! C’est mon premier jour ici et je ne trouve rien.
Thomas : Ah, vous devez être la nouvelle ! Sophie, c’est ça ? Moi c’est Thomas, je suis délégué de terminale S. Alors, bienvenue au lycée Voltaire !
Sophie : Merci beaucoup ! Oui, c’est bien moi. Ben, je dois avouer que c’est impressionnant, votre bahut ! Il est énorme comparé à mon ancien lycée.
Thomas : Haha, ouais, on a de la chance ! Vous voulez que je vous fasse visiter ? On a encore vingt minutes avant la sonnerie.
Sophie : Oh, ce serait génial ! Je ne voudrais pas arriver en retard dès le premier jour, hein !
Thomas : Alors, on commence par où on est : le bâtiment principal. Ici au rez-de-chaussée, vous avez l’administration – le bureau du proviseur, la vie scolaire, l’accueil…
Sophie : D’accord, et les salles de cours sont où exactement ?
Thomas : Ben, ça dépend ! Les cours de français et d’histoire sont au premier étage de ce bâtiment. Les maths et les sciences, c’est dans le bâtiment C, là-bas.
Sophie : Tiens, il y a combien de bâtiments en tout ?
Thomas : Euh… quatre au total. A, B, C et D. Ah, et puis il y a le gymnase et la demi-pension, bien sûr. Venez, on y va !
Sophie : Parfait ! Au fait, la cantine est comment ? Parce que dans mon ancien lycée, c’était… comment dire… pas terrible !
Thomas : Alors là, vous allez être agréablement surprise ! Notre chef cuistot est vraiment doué. Même les légumes ont du goût, c’est vous dire !
Sophie : Chouette ! Bon, on continue la visite ?
Thomas : Ouaip ! Alors, on monte au premier… Voilà, ici c’est le couloir des lettres. Salle 101, 102… Ah zut ! Vous voyez le panneau ? “Travaux en cours – accès interdit”.
Sophie : Ah bon ? Mais alors, où ont lieu les cours de français ?
Thomas : Bonne question ! Euh… ils ont dû déplacer les cours temporairement. Probablement dans le bâtiment D. On ira vérifier tout à l’heure.
Sophie : D’accord. Et les labos de sciences, ils sont accessibles au moins ?
Thomas : Normalement oui ! Allez, on redescend et on traverse la cour. Attention à la marche là… voilà !
Sophie : Waouh, la cour est immense ! Et c’est quoi ce bâtiment moderne là-bas ?
Thomas : Ça, c’est notre fierté : le bâtiment C, tout neuf ! Labos de physique-chimie au rez-de-chaussée, SVT au premier, et salles informatiques au deuxième.
Sophie : Génial ! J’adore les sciences. On peut jeter un œil ?
Thomas : Ben… euh… Ah là là ! Encore un panneau ! “Fermeture temporaire pour maintenance technique”. Vous n’avez vraiment pas de chance !
Sophie : Oh non ! Mais comment on va faire pour les TP alors ?
Thomas : Écoutez, ne vous inquiétez pas. Le proviseur adjoint va sûrement faire une annonce ce matin. En attendant, je vous montre la bibliothèque ?
Sophie : Oui, bonne idée ! J’espère qu’elle au moins elle est ouverte !
Thomas : Ah ça, j’en suis sûr ! Mme Dubois, la documentaliste, elle ouvre toujours en première. Regardez, c’est juste là, au rez-de-chaussée du bâtiment B.
Sophie : Super ! Elle est grande ?
Thomas : Assez oui ! Plus de 15 000 bouquins, des ordinateurs, des espaces de travail… Et Mme Dubois est adorable, vous verrez.
Sophie : Parfait ! Et pour le sport, le gymnase est où ?
Thomas : Tout au fond, derrière la cantine. On a un super gymnase avec un mur d’escalade, et puis il y a les terrains de sport extérieurs.
Sophie : Ah, j’ai hâte ! Je fais de l’escalade justement. Les profs de sport sont sympas ?
Thomas : Ouais, plutôt ! M. Legrand est un peu strict mais juste, et Mme Martin est vraiment cool. Elle nous fait faire de tout : basket, volley, athlé…
Sophie : Bon, ben écoutez, merci beaucoup pour cette visite ! Même avec les travaux, ça m’a donné un bon aperçu.
Thomas : De rien ! Au fait, vous êtes en quelle filière ?
Sophie : Terminale S aussi, spé maths.
Thomas : Eh ben, on va être dans la même classe alors ! Bon, allez, la sonnerie va bientôt retentir. On file en salle des profs voir les changements de salles ?
Sophie : Excellente idée ! Hein, au fait, vous connaissez les autres élèves de la classe ?
Thomas : Bien sûr ! Je vous présenterai tout le monde. Vous allez voir, on forme une super équipe !
