C’est un matin de semaine typique dans la famille Dubois. Marie et Pierre, un couple dans la trentaine, doivent partir au travail dans quinze minutes. Comme d’habitude, ils sont un peu en retard et doivent s’organiser rapidement pour préparer le petit-déjeuner avant de filer au bureau.

Marie: Zut ! Il est déjà 7h45 ! Pierre, tu peux t’occuper du café pendant que je prépare les tartines ?
Pierre: Euh… oui, bien sûr. Mais où tu as mis le café ? Je ne le trouve pas dans le placard habituel.
Marie: Ah si, regarde mieux ! Il est derrière les céréales. Dépêche-toi, on a rendez-vous à 8h30 tous les deux !
Pierre: Tiens, il n’y en a presque plus… On va devoir en racheter ce soir. Bon, je mets la cafetière en route. Tu veux du thé plutôt ?
Marie: Non non, le café ça ira. Dis, tu peux aussi sortir le beurre du frigo ? Et la confiture de fraises si on en a encore.
Pierre: Ah ben justement, je crois qu’on a fini la confiture hier soir. Il ne reste que celle à l’abricot que tu aimes pas trop.
Marie: Oh là là ! Bon, tant pis. Tu peux au moins griller le pain ? Moi je vais presser des oranges pour le jus.
Pierre: Attends, attends ! Le grille-pain ne marche plus, tu te rappelles ? Il a rendu l’âme lundi dernier.
Marie: Ah oui, c’est vrai ! Ben écoute, on va faire griller les tranches à la poêle alors. Ça ira plus vite que le four.
Pierre: Bonne idée. Hein, au fait, tu as pensé à préparer ton dossier pour la réunion de ce matin ?
Marie: Euh… quel dossier ? De quelle réunion tu parles ?
Pierre: Ben, celle avec les clients japonais ! Tu m’en as parlé toute la semaine !
Marie: Oh mon Dieu ! J’avais complètement oublié ! Il faut que je révise mes notes dans le métro. Chouette, ça commence bien la journée !
Pierre: Allez, ne panique pas. Tiens, prends au moins un yaourt et une banane, tu mangeras ça au bureau.
Marie: Mmh, tu as raison. Dis, le café est prêt ? On pourrait le mettre dans des thermos et l’emporter.
Pierre: Excellente idée ! Pendant que tu cherches tes notes, je prépare tout ça. Où sont les thermos ?
Marie: Dans le placard du haut, à côté des tasses. Pierre, tu es un ange ! Qu’est-ce que je ferais sans toi ?
Pierre: Ben, tu mourrais de faim probablement ! Allez, file chercher tes affaires, moi je termine ici.
Marie: Une seconde ! On n’a pas nourri Minou ! Le pauvre, il miaule depuis tout à l’heure dans sa gamelle.
Pierre: Ah oui, tu as raison. Bon, je m’en occupe aussi. Mais après, on y va hein ! Sinon on va vraiment être en retard.
Marie: D’accord, d’accord ! Tiens, je prends les clés de la voiture. Tu viens avec moi ou tu prends le métro ?
Pierre: Euh… en fait, j’ai prêté la voiture à ma sœur hier soir, tu te souviens ? Elle avait son entretien d’embauche ce matin.
Marie: Quoi ?! Mais Pierre ! Comment on va faire maintenant ? Le métro va être bondé à cette heure !
Pierre: Écoute, on va appeler un taxi ou prendre un Uber. Ça nous coûtera un peu cher mais on n’a pas le choix.
Marie: Bon, tant pis. Tu peux le commander pendant que je finis de me préparer ? Et n’oublie pas de prendre ton portable, tu l’as laissé sur la table hier soir.
Pierre: Ah merci ! Oui, je vais demander un taxi pour 8h05. Comme ça on aura le temps de finir tranquillement.
Marie: Parfait ! Bon, on fait comme ça alors. La prochaine fois, on se lèvera dix minutes plus tôt, promis !
Pierre: Ouais, c’est ce qu’on dit chaque matin ! Allez viens, le taxi sera là dans cinq minutes. Tu as tout ?
Marie: Oui, j’ai mon dossier, mon thermos, et mon en-cas. Merci chéri pour tout ! On y va !
