Thomas : Alors ma chérie, tu as l’air bizarre depuis ce matin. Qu’est-ce qui se passe ?
Sophie : Euh… ben, j’ai quelque chose d’important à te dire. C’est un peu compliqué.
Thomas : Ah bon ? Tu m’inquiètes là. C’est grave ?
Sophie : Non, non, ce n’est pas grave ! C’est plutôt… une bonne nouvelle, je crois. Tu te souviens que je t’ai parlé de mon rêve de faire un master en marketing international ?
Thomas : Oui, bien sûr. Tu m’en as parlé plusieurs fois. Et alors ?
Sophie : Eh bien… j’ai été acceptée ! À l’université de Montréal !
Thomas : Chouette ! C’est fantastique ! Mais attends… Montréal, c’est au Canada, non ?
Sophie : Oui… C’est ça le problème. Le programme dure deux ans et il faut que je parte en septembre.
Thomas : Deux ans ? En septembre ? Mais ça fait dans trois mois !
Sophie : Je sais, je sais. Je n’osais pas t’en parler parce que… ben, nous deux, ça marche vraiment bien et je ne veux pas tout gâcher.
Thomas : Attends, laisse-moi digérer l’info. Donc tu vas partir vivre au Canada pendant deux ans ?
Sophie : C’est une opportunité en or, Thomas. Cette université a une réputation mondiale et ça m’ouvrira plein de portes après.

Sophie : Tu es adorable. Mais toi, qu’est-ce que tu comptes faire ? Je veux dire… nous ?
Thomas : Ben… On pourrait essayer de maintenir le contact. Il y a Skype, WhatsApp…
Sophie : Les relations à distance, c’est compliqué. Tu crois vraiment qu’on peut y arriver ?
