Il s’adresse à Sylvie, une habitante locale qui fait ses courses, pour obtenir des indications précises sur les repères visuels qui l’aideront à identifier le bon bâtiment.

Marc : Excusez-moi madame, je cherche le musée des Beaux-Arts… Euh, je sais qu’il est dans le coin mais tous ces bâtiments se ressemblent !
Sylvie : Ah oui, je vois ! Alors, vous êtes place des Terreaux là, non ?
Marc : Justement, j’en suis pas sûr… Comment je peux reconnaître cette place ? Il y a quoi comme repères ?
Sylvie : Ben, vous avez une grande fontaine au milieu avec des chevaux sculptés. Et puis l’Hôtel de Ville juste en face.
Marc : Ah parfait ! Je vois la fontaine maintenant. Mais le musée, il ressemble à quoi exactement ?
Sylvie : C’est un ancien couvent, très imposant. Vous verrez, c’est un grand bâtiment en pierre claire avec une façade classique.
Marc : D’accord, mais… euh, il y a plusieurs grands bâtiments ici ! Comment je fais pour pas me tromper ?
Sylvie : Tiens, regardez ! Vous voyez l’inscription “Musée des Beaux-Arts” gravée au-dessus de l’entrée principale ?
Marc : Ah ben non, justement ! C’est ça le problème… J’ai mes lunettes de vue dans la voiture.
Sylvie : Ah zut ! Bon, alors on va faire autrement. Le musée, il a une cour intérieure avec un cloître, vous voyez ?

Sylvie : Lesquelles ? Montrez-moi.
Marc : Là, ce bâtiment sur la droite avec les colonnes.
Sylvie : Ah non ! Ça c’est l’Opéra de Lyon. Vous voyez bien que c’est complètement différent !
Marc : Ah bon ? En quoi c’est différent ?
Sylvie : Ben, l’Opéra il a cette verrière moderne sur le toit, vous voyez ? Cette espèce de demi-cylindre en verre.
Marc : Chouette ! Oui, maintenant je vois la différence. Donc le musée, lui, il a pas cette verrière ?
Sylvie : Exactement ! Le musée a un toit traditionnel en tuiles. Et puis, autre détail : il y a toujours des statues dans la façade.
Marc : Des statues ? Où ça exactement ?
Sylvie : Dans les niches, là… Vous voyez ces espèces de petites alcôves dans le mur ?
Marc : Ah oui ! Je distingue quelque chose… Elles représentent quoi ces statues ?
Sylvie : Oh là, ça je sais pas trop… Des artistes célèbres, je pense ! Mais bon, l’important c’est que vous les repériez, hein ?
Marc : Parfait ! Et l’entrée, elle est où précisément ? Au centre de la façade ?
Sylvie : Exactement ! Vous allez voir, il y a souvent une petite queue de touristes devant. Et puis des panneaux d’information.
Marc : Super ! Et si jamais je me trompe encore, il y a d’autres indices ?
