Marie : Alors Thomas, raconte-moi ! Tu es toujours obsédé par ton projet de tour du monde ?
Thomas : Obsédé, c’est le mot ! J’ai enfin fixé une date : je pars dans six mois. Et toi, comment c’était ton escapade en Thaïlande ?
Marie : Ah, fantastique ! Mais bon, quinze jours c’est vraiment trop court. J’ai eu un coup de cœur pour Bangkok, même si au début j’étais un peu perdue avec tout ce bruit et cette agitation.
Thomas : Je t’envie tellement ! Moi, ça fait trois ans que je rêve de ce voyage. J’ai économisé centime par centime…
Marie : Et tu comptes partir combien de temps exactement ?
Thomas : Ben, l’idée c’est un an complet. Commencer par l’Amérique du Sud, puis remonter vers les États-Unis, ensuite l’Asie et finir par l’Australie.
Marie : Waouh ! Ambitieux ! Mais dis-moi, tu as pensé au côté pratique ? Le visa pour l’Australie, par exemple ?
Thomas : Euh… justement, c’est là que ça se complique un peu. J’ai fait ma demande il y a deux mois et ils me demandent des documents supplémentaires.
Marie : Ah bon ? Quel genre de documents ?
Thomas : Des preuves financières plus détaillées, une assurance spécifique… C’est un vrai casse-tête ! Et le pire, c’est que sans visa australien, tout mon itinéraire tombe à l’eau.
Marie : Hein ? Pourquoi ? Tu peux pas juste modifier l’ordre de tes destinations ?
Thomas : C’est que j’ai déjà réservé un vol avec escales multiples. Si je change, je perds une fortune !
Marie : Aïe ! Pas évident… Mais tu sais quoi ? Quand j’étais en Thaïlande, j’ai rencontré plein de backpackers qui improvisaient complètement leur parcours.
Thomas : Ouais, mais moi je suis pas du genre à partir à l’aventure comme ça. J’aime bien avoir tout planifié à l’avance.
Marie : Je comprends, mais parfois les meilleurs souvenirs viennent des imprévus ! Tiens, moi par exemple, j’avais prévu de rester seulement deux jours à Chiang Mai…
Thomas : Et alors ?
Marie : Ben j’y suis restée une semaine ! J’ai découvert un cours de cuisine thaï génial, et puis j’ai fait une excursion avec des éléphants… Magique !
Thomas : Chouette ! Mais bon, avec mon budget serré, je peux pas me permettre ce genre de fantaisie.
Marie : Justement, ça m’a coûté beaucoup moins cher que ce que j’avais budgété pour Bangkok ! La vie est tellement moins chère dans le nord…
Thomas : Mmh, c’est vrai que je devrais peut-être assouplir un peu mon planning… Au fait, tu projettes de repartir bientôt ?
Marie : Oh que oui ! L’Inde me fait de l’œil depuis longtemps. Mais cette fois, je veux y aller au moins un mois.
Thomas : L’Inde ! Ça c’est du voyage ! Tu viserais quelle région ?
Marie : Le Rajasthan pour commencer, puis descendre vers le Kerala. Apparemment les backwaters sont à couper le souffle !
Thomas : Et niveau budget, tu comptes sur combien ?
Marie : Ben, avec ce que j’ai économisé sur la Thaïlande, plus mes primes de fin d’année… Dans les 2000 euros pour tout.
Thomas : Pas mal ! Dis donc, ça te dirait qu’on synchronise nos voyages ? Moi je pourrais décaler l’Asie pour la faire en même temps que toi !
Marie : Euh… Thomas, tu sais que je voyage plutôt en mode solo, non ?
Thomas : Ah si, c’est vrai… Zut ! Bon, mais on pourrait se croiser quelque part ? Juste pour prendre un verre et échanger nos anecdotes ?
Marie : Ça, ça me plairait bien ! Et puis qui sait, peut-être que tu m’auras donné envie de prolonger jusqu’en Australie…
