Camille : Je comprends ! Et tu as fait quoi ?

The scene takes place in the Paris metro on a Saturday night around midnight. Camille, an experienced metro driver, chats with her colleague Thomas during a break between trains. They talk about the sometimes difficult behavior of passengers returning from nights out and parties on the weekend.
DIALOGUE
Camille : Pfff… what a night! Did you see the state of my train after the last run?
Thomas : Oh really? What happened this time?
Camille : A group of young people who were clearly coming back from a party… They’d left empty cans everywhere and, uh… let’s just say one of them couldn’t handle the ride.
Thomas : Oh no! Someone else got sick? That’s the third incident this week!
Camille : Yeah, of course! And you know what annoys me the most? Their friends acted like nothing had happened. No apologies, nothing!
Thomas : What? They didn’t even try to clean up a bit?
Camille : Are you kidding? They were even laughing as they got off. I had to call the cleaning crew… again.
Thomas : Listen, last night I was treated to an impromptu concert. Some completely drunk guy who was belting out songs while playing his guitar.
Camille : Oh! And how did the other passengers react?
Thomas : At first it was okay, some were even smiling. But after twenty minutes of the same song… People really started to complain.
Camille : I get it! And what did you do?
Thomas : Well, I tried to speak to him nicely at the next stop. The problem was he was so out of it that he couldn’t understand anything anymore!
Camille : Oh dear… Did he get off in the end?
Thomas : Luckily his friends picked him up at Châtelet. But honestly, this kind of thing is getting more and more complicated.
Camille : You know what struck me last week? A group coming back from a concert had turned the train carriage into a dance floor!
Thomas : No kidding? They were dancing in the metro?
Camille : Oh yes! At first it was kind of funny, I must admit. But, uh… they were jostling other passengers, knocking over their belongings…
Thomas : Darn! And didn’t anyone say anything?
Camille : Yes, yes! An elderly woman pointed out to them that she was afraid of falling. Do you know what they replied?
Thomas : I have a feeling… not very polite, I imagine?
Camille : Exactly! “Ma’am, relax, enjoy the music!” And they kept jumping all over the place!
Thomas : That’s ridiculous! But I have to say, not everyone is like that, right? Yesterday I ran into a really nice group.
Camille : Oh really? Tell me!
Thomas : They were returning from a wedding, well dressed, a little merry but respectful. They were chatting, laughing softly… they even helped a tourist with her luggage!
Camille : Nice! It’s good to hear that for once.
Thomas : Yeah, and you know what? As they were getting off, they even wished me a nice rest of the evening over the intercom!
Camille : That’s rare! Well, the problem is mainly with those who drink too much, isn’t it?
Thomas : Exactly! You know, last week, a guy who was completely drunk was falling asleep standing up. He kept leaning more and more…
Camille : Oh no! I hope he didn’t fall?
Thomas : Yes! Fortunately on an empty seat. But he almost brought a young woman down with him when he fell!
Camille : My God! And then?
Thomas : Well, she wasn’t happy at all! She gave him a real dressing-down… Even asleep, I think he got the message!
Camille : Ah, sometimes you have to stand up for yourself! Alright, our break’s over. I hope this next round will be calmer.
Thomas : Fingers crossed! And don’t forget, if you have a problem, call me on the radio.
Camille : Thanks, Thomas! Alright, good luck with the rest of your shift – hang in there for the rest of the night!
Thomas : You too! See you tomorrow for more adventures!
