Claire, étudiante en art, rencontre son ami Thomas au café de la faculté. Elle remarque qu’il a un nouvel appareil photo et commence à lui poser des questions sur sa récente passion pour la photographie. Thomas, plutôt timide au début, se confie sur ses premiers essais photographiques.

Claire : Tiens, salut Thomas ! Dis donc, c’est quoi ce bel appareil que tu as là ?
Thomas : Ah, salut Claire ! Euh… c’est un reflex que j’ai acheté le mois dernier. Rien d’extraordinaire, hein.
Claire : Comment ça, rien d’extraordinaire ? Il a l’air super professionnel ! Tu t’es mis à la photo ?
Thomas : Ben… ouais, en fait. J’ai commencé il y a quelques semaines. C’était un peu par hasard.
Claire : Par hasard ? Raconte-moi ça ! Moi qui fais de l’art, je suis toujours curieuse de découvrir comment les gens se passionnent pour l’image.
Thomas : Alors… tu vas rire, mais ça a commencé quand j’essayais de vendre mon vieux téléphone sur internet. Les photos étaient tellement nulles que personne ne s’intéressait à mon annonce !
Claire : Ah bon ? Et alors ?
Thomas : Mon frère m’a dit : “Thomas, tes photos sont vraiment pourries. Tu devrais apprendre les bases.” Ça m’a vexé sur le coup !
Claire : Je comprends ! Mais du coup, ça t’a motivé ?
Thomas : Exactement ! J’ai commencé à regarder des tutos sur YouTube, et… ben, je me suis pris au jeu. C’est fascinant toutes ces histoires d’ouverture, de vitesse d’obturation…
Claire : Chouette ! Et tu as fait quoi comme premières photos ?
Thomas : Euh… au début, j’ai mitraillé tout et n’importe quoi. Mon chat, ma plante verte, la vue depuis ma fenêtre… Les résultats étaient… comment dire… très moyens.
Claire : Normal au début ! Et maintenant ?
Thomas : Maintenant je sors plus, je cherche de beaux paysages, des scènes de rue intéressantes. Hier, j’ai passé deux heures au parc à photographier les écureuils !
Claire : Deux heures ? Tu es vraiment mordu ! Et ça donne quoi ?
Thomas : Ben justement… c’est là le problème. J’ai pris 200 photos et au final, j’en ai gardé peut-être trois ou quatre potables.
Claire : Ah, le syndrome du débutant ! Mais dis-moi, tu développes tes photos ou tu restes en numérique ?
Thomas : Pour l’instant, tout numérique. Je retouche un peu sur Lightroom… enfin, j’essaie ! C’est un vrai casse-tête ce logiciel.
Claire : Je peux t’aider si tu veux ! J’utilise Photoshop depuis des années pour mes créations.
Thomas : Vraiment ? Ce serait génial ! En fait, j’aimerais bien te montrer quelques-unes de mes photos, avoir ton avis d’artiste…
Claire : Avec plaisir ! Tu les as sur toi ?
Thomas : Euh… oui, sur mon téléphone. Mais promets-moi de ne pas être trop dure, hein !

Thomas : Voilà… celle-ci, c’est un coucher de soleil sur la Seine. Et là, des pigeons en contre-jour…

Claire : Tu sais quoi ? Il y a un club photo à la fac ! Ils organisent des sorties le weekend et des ateliers. C’est gratuit pour les étudiants.

Claire : Je connais la responsable, Sophie. Je peux te donner ses coordonnées. D’ailleurs, samedi ils vont faire une balade photo au marché aux puces.
Thomas : Euh… tu crois que mon niveau sera suffisant ? J’ai un peu la trouille de me retrouver avec des pros.
Claire : Mais non ! Il y a tous les niveaux. Et puis, l’ambiance est super détendue. Moi, j’y suis allée une fois pour dessiner pendant qu’ils photographiaient.
Thomas : D’accord, ça me tente bien ! Au pire, je ferai tapisserie dans un coin.
Claire : Arrête avec ta modestie ! Avec tes photos, tu vas épater tout le monde. Et qui sait ? Tu découvriras peut-être ta voie artistique !
Thomas : Haha, on verra bien ! En tout cas, merci Claire. Grâce à toi, je me sens plus confiant pour me lancer vraiment dans cette aventure photographique.
