Sarah et Julien sont amis depuis le lycée. Ils se retrouvent dans un café après que Sarah ait découvert que Julien a organisé une soirée d’anniversaire sans l’inviter, alors qu’elle pensait qu’il avait oublié son anniversaire. Sarah se sent trahie et déçue par l’attitude de son ami.

Sarah : Samedi dernier, c’était mon anniversaire. Tu te souviens ?
Julien : Ah euh… oui, évidemment ! Bon anniversaire en retard ! J’étais…
Sarah : Arrête. Tu étais où exactement samedi soir ?
Julien : Ben… chez moi, pourquoi ?
Sarah : Chez toi ? Avec Thomas, Emma, Lucas et tous les autres, c’est ça ?
Julien : Comment tu… Ah zut. Qui t’a dit ça ?
Sarah : Peu importe qui me l’a dit ! Le fait est que tu as organisé une soirée pile le jour de mon anniversaire sans m’inviter !

Julien : Tu es mon amie la plus proche, tu le sais bien ! Cette soirée, c’était pas prévu comme ça…
Sarah : Pas prévu ? Les photos sur Instagram d’Emma disent le contraire. Ça avait l’air plutôt bien organisé !
Julien : Bon d’accord, on avait prévu quelque chose, mais…

Sarah : J’écoute, mais ça a intérêt à être une bonne excuse.
Julien : En fait… cette soirée, c’était censé être une surprise pour ton anniversaire.
Sarah : Pardon ? Une surprise pour moi ? Sans moi ?
Julien : Je sais, ça paraît dingue dit comme ça, mais on préparait tout pour dimanche chez Emma.
Sarah : Dimanche ? Mais pourquoi samedi alors ?
Julien : Parce que les parents d’Emma sont rentrés plus tôt que prévu. On a dû annuler au dernier moment.
Sarah : Et tu ne pouvais pas me prévenir ? Me dire la vérité ?
Julien : J’aurais dû, tu as raison. Mais Thomas a eu cette idée stupide…
Sarah : Quelle idée ?
Julien : Il a dit qu’on pouvait quand même se voir, histoire de pas perdre la soirée, et qu’on improviserait quelque chose pour toi plus tard.
Sarah : Tiens donc ! Et vous avez tous trouvé ça génial ?
Julien : Non ! Moi j’étais pas d’accord ! J’ai passé toute la soirée à culpabiliser !
Sarah : Ah ouais ? Ça se voyait pas sur les photos en tout cas…
Julien : Ces photos… Emma les a postées sans réfléchir. On était tous énervés contre elle après ça.
Sarah : Mouais… Et depuis samedi, tu comptais me dire quoi exactement ?
Julien : J’essayais de trouver le courage de tout t’avouer. Et aussi de rattraper le coup.
Sarah : Le rattraper comment ?
Julien : Ben… j’ai organisé quelque chose pour ce weekend. Juste nous deux, comme avant.
